The vast majority of Dental Implant Surgery procedures are
performed under a local anaesthetic without pain or discomfort to
the patient.
Sometimes, oral or intravenous sedation (injected in the vein) can
be helpful. This is especially useful if:
- You are a nervous patient
- You are having multiple implant placements
- You are having grafting with more than one surgical site involved

The patient must always be accompanied by a responsible adult
who should remain at the surgery throughout the procedure and
look after the patient for the rest of the day at home.
