Osseointegration
Due to research conducted over the past
forty years or more, dental implants have
become a reliable and durable treatment
option.
The success achieved is due to the ability
of an implant surface to ‘unite’ with bone,
a concept referred to as
‘osseointegration’. This occurs when cells
attach directly to the bio-engineered
surface of a titanium implant and form
bone.
The ultimate result is that an
osseointegrated implant becomes a part
of the body.
