Mr Ali Abdellatif qualified with BDS in 1998 and gained his experience covering a
wide range of posts in Oral, Maxillofacial Surgery, General and Cosmetic dentistry
both in the NHS and private practice.
Ali was born in England and later moved with his family to Egypt where he
qualified with honours from Alexandria University. On gaining extensive
experience in Oral Surgery, he moved back to the UK and took up posts as Senior
House Officer in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Basildon and Southend
Hospitals and later Manchester Royal Infirmary. He then sat the qualifying exams
for the Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery of the Royal College of
Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow (2001) and the General Dental Council
International Qualifying Exam (2002).
With the experience gained and his higher qualifications, Ali was offered a
teaching post at King’s College London where he taught oral surgery to
undergraduate dental students at King’s Dental Institute in Denmark Hill. During
this time he also started in general dental practice.
In 2004, he joined the team at a private dental practice in London’s trendy Covent
Garden where he tuned his skills in implementing advanced restorative
techniques combined with the latest in dental materials and technologies to
provide some of London’s most demanding clientele with general and cosmetic
dentistry. He remains a popular associate dentist at this practice where he has
developed strong personal ties with his patients who continue to refer their friends
and family and work colleagues.
Ali went on to enrol on the Master’s Degree Programme in Implant Dentistry at
King’s College where he spent two years training in the latest clinical techniques
in dental implantology. Following two years of training and research he gained the
much coveted Master’s Degree in Implant Dentistry (2007) making him one of only
a handful of dentists in UK and Europe who hold such a degree.
In addition, Ali attends numerous courses and conferences on advanced
restorative and cosmetic dentistry. His latest endeavour has been training in the
invisible tooth alignment systems that allow patients to enjoy the benefits of
orthodontics without having to wear metal appliances.
Ali is a member of the European Association of Osseointegration and the
Association of Dental Implantologists UK.
